eyelash viper - Luly was inspired to design this gown by the yellow pythons that live in the amazon. After the pattern was transferred from paper to fabric, a team of seamstresses applied each sequin by hand. A master seamstress then used these panels to build this gorgeous dress & Luly worked with the Atelier to ensure that the fit was perfect. Atelier is the French word for “workshop”, and in English is used principally for the workshop of an artist in the fine or decorative arts.
Throughout the history of haute couture, the world’s most respected fashion houses have been recognized as having an atelier where seamstresses, creative directors and designers work in house to create their fabulous garments.
What some might not know is that we at Luly Yang have our very own Atelier where our lovely seamstresses work to create the custom creations for our clients and fashion lines.
